Welcome to Member Information

Welcome to the Division Nine web site and to the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary

Comprised of nearly 570 civilian volunteer Auxiliarists, Division Nine serves Coast Guard Sector Saint Petersburg, Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater, Coast Guard Station Fort Myers Beach and the Southwest Florida boating public.  Division Nine also provides administrative support and training to nine flotillas located across a geographic area that extends from the Gulf of Mexico on the west to Lake Okeechobee on the East, and from Cape Haze on the North to the Thousand Islands on the South.

Each year, Division Nine Auxiliarists volunteer nearly 100,000 hours while conducting public education programs, checking recreational and commercial vessels for safety equipment, undertaking search and rescue, marine safety and environmental missions, and performing a variety of administrative tasks.  Several Division Nine Auxiliarists provide direct assistance to CG Station Fort Myers Beach by standing watch in the Radio Communications Center, augmenting on operational missions, and performing various administrative duties.  Other Division Nine Auxiliarists assist Air Station Clearwater as Pilots and Observers in the Auxiliary Aviation program.

If you are a member of Division Nine, or an Auxiliarist in another division or district, thank you for your service.  If you are visiting this web site because you are interested in serving with the Coast Guard Auxiliary, please use the links provided on this site to reach a flotilla near your home.  Each of the flotilla web sites offers information about the Coast Guard Auxiliary, the flotilla’s location and activities, and the names of persons to contact about the flotilla and enrollment.

As America’s premier volunteer organization, the Coast Guard Auxiliary offers many learning, training, service and fellowship opportunities. As a member, you will benefit from those opportunities and will enjoy the privileges and rewards that come from serving as one of “America’s Volunteer Lifesavers.”

Semper Paratus! Always ready!
